Gold prices fell by about 20 pounds in the local goldsmiths’ markets during trading today, Tuesday, to drop the price of the best-selling 21 carat gram in Egypt, recording 2290 pounds, compared to 2310 pounds at the end of yesterday’s trading, according to Naguib Club, former secretary of the Goldsmiths Division.
According to Naguib, the price of a 24-carat gram fell, recording 2617 pounds, compared to 2637 pounds, and the price of an 18-carat gram decreased, recording 1963 pounds, compared to 1983 pounds.
The price of the gold pound lost 160 pounds, dropping to 18,320 pounds, without calculating the value of workmanship, or the stamp tax and the value-added tax.
